Tonight I joined the march from Parliament to Dataran Merdeka in commemoration of 1,000 days of imprisonment of Anwar Ibrahim. The march was organised by PKR, I joined the march together with LimKit Siang and my DAP colleagues like Ong Kian Ming, Anthony Loke and other Pakatan Harapan leaders.
Time flies, Anwar has been in jail for 1,000 days. I have the experience of being in solitary confinement when I was detained under the ISA in 2008. I understand the hardship of living in prison. It is so hot at night, difficult to sleep in a non air conditioned cell with the ceiling light on at night.
I won’t be able to sleep well without switching on the air condition every night now. It must be tough for Anwar Ibrahim to sleep in a non air conditioned prison cell at night too.
Anwar will be released on 10th June 2018. How nice if he can be released prior to that, so that we can fight Najib’s government together …….
