On the evening of Friday 5th December, I attended two farewell functions.
The first one was the farewell dinner for Father Albert Tan, the parish priest of St Francis Xavier Church, Petaling Jaya.
Father Albert Tan is a Jesuit priest. He is young and jovial, open-minded and approachable. He said he will travel to Australia to have sabbatical leave and he will then make his final vow as a Jesuit Priest after his sabbatical, this means he will accept the order of the Pope to be posted to whatever country that the Vatican sends him.
The second farewell function was the wake of the mother of Richard Yeoh at the Baptist Church at PJ. Richard is a social activist who has been a member of Bersih and a number of NGOs. He was a councilor of MBPJ too.
Richard’s mum, Mdm How Sow Ping passed away on 30 November 2015 due to old age. She looked beautiful and peaceful at her age of 91. May her soul rest in peace with her Maker. May blessings of the Almighty be upon all her family members too.
