Anything you wanna ask parliament?

Posted on Thursday, 24-05-2007 by Teresa

Hello friends,

The next sitting of parliament is in June.

The deadline for MPs to submit questions is looming, so if anyone has any interesting questions for me to toss at the government, please e-mail them to me by 9pm tonight.

Sorry for the last minute invitation but better late than never. 🙂

    Dear YB Teresa Kok,
During the Machap campaign period, YB Ong Tee Keat mentioned that the Advanced Diploma of TAR College would be recognised by the Government by late April or early May.
Ask him what the status of TARC Advanced Diploma at this point in time!!!

    Dear Madam,

Last January, the Science, Technology and Innovation Minister directed his ministry to conduct a study on climate change and how it affected Malaysia. Has the study been made public (or posted on the Ministry website)?

    Sassy MP,

Ask PM point blank why he (if it was HE or somone else at his behest) cancelled (he said postponed) the Interfaith Christian-Muslim dialogue at the last moment.

Why HE was suddenly very busy and had urgent matters to attend to (What are these matters) when the dialogue was one year in the planning, why he belittled the Head of the Anglican Church, thereby.

All government buildings and offices are gazetted as Non Smoking zone.
My question is Why government officers are smoking inside their office
And those on duty in Full Uniform such as the police smoking inside the patrol car.
    Thank you

Hope this is still on time for you.

Be great if you can press on Proton.

Mahaleel was ousted on the basis that he was an impediment to Proton finding a foreign partner.

New team was put in place – what has the new team produced? They certainly haven’t got in the partner…

If you benchmark the current board and management vs the previous board and management you will clearly see that they (the new team) are on the brink of destroying Proton.

Teresa, you got to push them for credible answers and no the normal blame / excuses that gets fed around.

    Dear YB,

This may be late for your preparation to table in Parliament, but I wish to highlight to you my concern:

Regarding Undi Pos, may be it is my ignorant, I have recently found out I am not eligible for undi pos as I am not student or civil servants or their immediate family member. It give me a shock when I enquire to Suruhanjaya Pilihanraya on how to register for undi pos. They replied I can only eligible for it if within that categories.

If that is true, thousands of Malaysian like me abroad cant cast their vote for coming election. How? I replied a mail to Suruhanjaya stressing my concern and told them it is not democracy to withold fellow Malaysian to vote!

My point is this bill or regulation should be change or ammend, to allow all Malaysian in foreign county to vote.

Thank you for your time. God bless.

    Cheers,
    Philip Ng

Corruption investigations into former ACA DG Datuk Zulkufli and Deputy Minister of Internal Security Datuk Johari Baharom were completed and investigation reports were already submitted to AG Chambers for further actions. Nearly 3 months have passed but investigation results are not yet made public. Please ask the above question in Parliament.

It is important for PROTON to find a partner soon because these days both new and used cars do not sell well. If Proton gets deeper into trouble without a partner, there are many bad implications…….

    Madam Teresa Kok,

First of all, let me congratulate you on your victory.

I would like to know about this issues and would appreciate it if you could forward it in parliment or answer it yourself. 🙂

    – How difficult it is to implement economic policies based on poverty rather than race.
    – The purpose of having Kementerian Perpaduan when the government itself instills hatred and plays racial politics.

My humble suggestions for Pakatan Rakyat government.

    – start your own independent broadcasting and newspaper. You would need it in the near future.
    – Cultivate the malaysian spirit in all malaysian rather than racial stand in schools
    – Change / reeducate all the imams in the mosque to preach about moderate ISLAM teaching only rather than instilling hatred against non-muslims and jewish. Set up a monitoring committte to make sure thats what they speak in mosques. This will help to moderate muslims. The same can be done for other religions. (Trust me it is not difficult to do)

If it sounds logical, tell me and i will try to come up with more. 🙂
