A Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee delegation yesterday visited the houses at Sri Petaling (under my constituency) which were damaged because of the construction of KL-Putrajaya Highway.
The delegation arrived at 8am by bus and visited the houses which Dato’ Shahrir and other BN MPs have visited last year.
The same cracks on the wall were still there. Despite Samy Vellu saying the government would be repaired, only a handful of houses have been repaired and the quality was lousy. The Works Minister didn’t keep his words!
The residents committee wants the government to acquire their houses which are now too close to the elevated highway.
Another option was for the DBKL to re-zone their properties to commercial lots. This is because the value of the houses have been compromised by the location of the highway.
The resident association leaders were very happy with the visit of the PAC headed by Dato’ Shahrir. They requested a group photo (bottom) with us before we left.
I think Samy Vellu will certainly jump when he learns of the PAC day trip, especially when he’s now also burdened with trying to save face because of the MIC split over nomination for the Ijok by-election. 🙂
Yes!! Let’s see if anything comes out of this. Else the PAC outing is only for a joy ride.
Really like to hear Samy’s response. May be “podah”?
I quote you “The same cracks on the wall were still there. Despite Samy Vellu saying the government would be repaired, only a handful of houses have been repaired and the quality was lousy. The Works Minister didn’t keep his words!”
The same toupee can still be seen in parliament. Despite Samy ullu saying the government would be repaired, “good chuck out those hopeless BN” the quality of the repaired jobs were lousy, that is nothing new considering that bets is made on when pot hole begins on a newly surfaced road, the works minister didn’t keep his words, IF HE DID, HE WILL STILL BE LIVING IN LUNAS.
Go sleep lah Samy, so old oredi, your half life is gone, so now known as semi-valued.
🙂
