I am surprised that Chua Tee Yong issued a statement on Talam’s debt recovery, exposing his ignorance on the deal again.
The answer to Chua’s query on why a piece of Danau Putra land can be auctioned off at the price of RM5.20 per sq ft whilst the Selangor government bought the land at the price of RM15 per sq ft and how it is that this land disposal could be concluded when there is an ongoing court case, is that the Selangor government took 3 pieces of land at Danau Putra from Talam at the price of RM15 per sq ft in the global debt settlement with Talam. 2 pieces of the land were sold whilst one of them were auctioned off by Bangkok Bank at RM5.20 per sq ft.
Talam has taken legal action against the bank over the sale of the said land by Bangkok Bank and the Selangor government intervened in the suit. Talam has promised the Selangor government that in the event they lose in the legal suit, Talam will refund the said amount to the Selangor government. As such, there will be no loss incurred on the part of the Selangor government.
In respect of the 2 pieces of land that were sold by the Selangor government a half year ago, the buyers of the said lands will convert the area into an industrial park and titles will be issued to them in a few months. As state government, we have no obligation to reveal the names of the buyers to Chua Tee Yong, unless and until we obtain consent from the buyers.
These questions could have been easily answered in the briefing on Talam that was organized by the Selangor government last week. It is regrettable that Chua did not bother to attend the briefing session and instead chose to communicate with the Selangor government via the media.
Since Chua Tee Yong as deputy Agriculture Minister seems disinterested in his own Agriculture ministry and is more interested in the affairs of Selangor, I urge Chua Tee Yong to contest a state seat in Selangor in the coming general elections. He can then be the opposition member in the state assembly and monitor the Selangor government more effectively, should he get elected.

郭素沁批蔡智勇不务正业，在达南课题上一知半解还频发言
（吉隆坡14日）雪州高级行政议员郭素沁批评身为副部长的蔡智勇对不理农业部事务，却选择在雪州做反对党，在对达南课题一知半解的情况下频频发言，自暴其丑。
郭素沁今天发表文告，回应蔡智勇对达瑙布特拉(Danau Putera)地段的价格的质询时，如此表示。
她解释说，雪州政府在与达南集团全面解决债务时，收购了达南集团在达瑙布特拉的3块地，其中2块已经在半年前卖出，买者将在有关地段建工业园，地契将在未来数个月里发出。
“这3块地里的其中一块被曼谷银行以每平方尺5令吉20仙，低于15令吉的市价卖出。“
她补充说，“就是因为曼谷银行以低于市价的价格拍卖达南在达瑙布特拉其中一块地，因此，达南集团已针对此事起诉曼谷银行，而雪州政府也介入这案件里。“
她也说，“达南集团已向雪州保证，如果该集团在有关诉讼案里败诉的话，那么该集团将悉数归还雪州政府。因此，雪州政府在这交易里，是完全没有损失的。”
“至于达瑙布特拉的地段地买主， 除非买主授权雪州政府愿意公布其身份，否则雪州政府没有义务在此刻公布。“
郭素沁说，这种问题根本就不值得贵为联邦副部长的蔡智勇召开记者会来提出质问，只要
蔡智勇肯出席雪州政府的汇报会，他随时可得到答案。
她呼吁蔡智勇在来届大选竞选雪州的州议席，如果他幸运中选，那他大可名正言顺的在雪州当反对党议员。
