(Residents and I at the barrier which caused the backflow of water)
This morning I visited Pekan Salak Selatan, which is in my constituency, to assess the situation on the damages caused by the flood on 2nd May 2012. I was shocked by the extent of damages which was suffered by the traders in the flood hit area. The reason of the flooding is due to the clogged drains and a barrier which caused the water to flow back into the roads. I have reported the issue of clogged drains to DBKL in the past to which have fallen on deaf ears. As Salak Selatan is located alongside the SMART Tunnel I am questioning whether it had any part to play in the flood.
(Showing reporters the estimated height of the barrier)
(Speaking to the residents on the action that will be taken by my office)
(The debris and damage caused by the flood)
(A shop which suffered massive losses)
(Flood water that gushed hitting the shutter door)
(Explaining to the reporters the situation)
Teresa,
I just want to suggest to you and the Pakatan parties.
Can you streamline your webs and blog.
You see there are multiple of Pakatan blogs but none are referenced to each other.
There are number of cases when we have to access RockyBru to get to all Pakatan blogs.
As you know RockyBru blog is not impartial and is cross referenced to all the hardline UMNO blogs.
Now, the UMNO bloggers, all the hardliners works by “team up” together with information “shared” among themselves, and come up with articles and news to spread propaganda against PR.
Your blog are in the list in RockyBru but most are ones that are pro-BN and their blogs are highligted.
I was informed that BN had invested in these blogs sinced 2008.
I am not really a hardline Pakatan person but I want the politic in the virtual web to be balanced.
Perhaps you can do something about this or you can relate this to your pakatan friends.
It would be very helpful to Pakatan since web politics is very prevalent these days. Thank you
Yusoff
En Yusof, I know what you mean.
I have visited some of those blogs.
And of course the materials posted are mostly inane and mostly fabricated or plugged from thin air.
They also have their distractors to contend with.
Including people from overseas.
In fact, there could be hundreds of such spurious blogs sponsored by the government in its desperate to counter the main Main Stream Electronic Media like LKS’s blog, The Malaysian-chronicle,Malaysian
Mirror etc.
In fact, most people who are online already know what the truth is and few would deign to visit the sponsored blogs of the government.
However, a blog facility that will act as a sort of web clearing house for ideas and suggestions by visitors/members would be helpful.
As it is, it is doubtful that the owners of the blogs have the time to read the responses personally and most probably the task is undertaken by their assistants.
Who may not be too perceptive to the responses.
