My assistant cum councillor of MPSJ, Gary Chong and I saved two Chinese nationals from prostitution with the help of a few residents in Puchong two days ago.
These two girls, a 21-year old, and a 19-year old, were misled into thinking that they could work in Malaysia for double or triple their salary as factory workers in China. They were offerred factory work in Malaysia, only to realise that they were expected to work as prostitutes in a spa after they got here.
After escaping from a house in Puchong, two residents there helped them. My assistants, Foo Teik Huat and Gary Chong then put them up for two nights in a hotel, bought them air tickets and gave them some pocket money to enable them to return to Shen Zhen, China two days later.
I called a press conference on the day of their departure. I slammed the police for not taking their report seriously and failing to carry out investigations immediately after the women lodge police reports.
Yesterday, I made it a point to visit the OCPD of Subang/Puchong district and complain to him about the attitude of police towards the reports of these two young women.
I was told that the police then went to raid a spa parlour after the news was reported in the media and after I had complained to the OCPD.
Below is the response of a resident in Puchong (edited for clarity)
- (This was a mail sent to Facebook)
What disgusted me the most while assisting the girls with their police reports at Balai Polis Puchong was the fact that the IO and other cops tried to take advantage of the situation by accusing the girls of being prostitutes and wanting to detain them! Apparently, the gangsters / kidnappers had connection with the cops.
The girls were even told by their kidnappers that they had connections at the Chinese Embassy, airports etc!! I had to tell the cops that arrangements had been made for the girls by Teresa Kok and (Councillor) Gary (Chong). This really saved them!!
We overheard the IO telling another over the phone that this case would be rugi for them to pursue further!! It was really a waste of time reporting the matter to the police as the police did not even ask the girls to show them the house where they were detained / imprisoned!!
God bless you both for your assistance! If you want to reach me for further details –
Thanks
Resident – Taman Mutiara Puchong.

Sin city Puchong
By Teoh El Sen December 03, 2008
The residents do not want it, but Puchong could soon outstrip Chow Kit for the dubious distinction of being the most infamous red light district in the country.
Residents are furious the authorities have allowed the rapidly growing township to degenerate into a bustling haven for prostitution.
An official of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council, under which Puchong falls, confirmed vice activities have increased.
In recent weeks, the council closed down three vice dens, and it is just the tip of the problem.
“Apparently, prostitutes have moved from the city to Puchong. Prostitution used to be quite rampant in Subang Jaya, but now it seems Puchong has become the hotspot.”
In the wake of the hookers have come other vices.
The official said the council was trying to check the vice activity by limiting permits for massage parlours, which usually turned into prostitution dens. To date, 40 permits for traditional massage outlets have been approved.
Councillor Gary Chong, dismayed that Puchong has recently been dubbed a “dirty” area, called for more drastic action against offenders.
“It is getting more serious. There have been a lot of illegal hotels that have been raided and closed down in recent months.”
He said such illegal premises were mushrooming fast, citing Bandar Puteri as one of the places when he has found illegal massage parlours operating.
Seputeh MP Teresa Kok also wants sterner action taken.
She highlighted a case of two Chinese nationals who claimed they were forced to become prostitutes but escaped last Sunday after more than a week of being locked up and starved in a house in Taman Mutiara, Puchong.
“These girls, aged 21 and 19, had been deceived into thinking there were legal job opportunities here,” said Kok, adding that the pair flew home to China at 4.50pm yesterday.
They had lodged a police report with the help of a local resident who spotted them wandering about after they escaped from their “prison”.
Selangor police chief DCP Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar declined comment on the vice problems in Puchong.
I am not surprised at all on our PDRM response. What can you expect from these pathetic bums when they are so..busy arresting and intimidating innocent rakyat cycling for freedom.
That DCP guy has lost all his credibility (if he even have) long time ago. We do not want to hear comments from him anymore. How to trust what he says when he proved himself a BIG FAT liar.
Teresa, you and your team did a great compassionate job. Feels real good to have people like you all around. Thanks again!!
Dear YB
Remember, Ronnie Liu was trying to stop the police from raiding one of this place last year. He made a big hue and cry.
Teresa,
There is prostitution in Bandar Sunway, Puchong, SS2, Klang, etc.
Please work to send all china girls back as they invariably end up in prostitution. Or break marriages. There will be more and more problems as you described.
They registering with colleges is just a cover, as even after one year they can hardly speak any english or malay. Malaysia is just a passport for them to rip away our monies, break our hearts and leave for Australia or the west. They are no asset even for the malaysian chinese.
There should be a policy that no china girls below 40 is allowed into the country unless its a group tour.
Girls above 40 are okay! 🙂 We have a lot of single and lonely men.
After 1 week, the situation is back to the old again. The vice joint still operate with the powerful link to the police force.Check this joint out 20, jalan puteri 1/4 bandar puteri puchong.Heard from insider they paid lot to local police station.Hope this is not truth.
One true BLACK Malaysia!
