Thai Unrest According to RTM Dunia

Posted on Monday, 01-12-2008Wednesday, 03-12-2008 by Teresa

I hardly watch RTM programmes at night. Last night (29 November 2008), I reached home earlier and I managed to watch some parts of a special programme about the political unrests in Thailand.

The presenter told the audience of the ‘heads and tails’ of a series of political developments in Thailand while showing the visuals. He said all the demonstrations arose because the protestors rejected Thaksin and his proxy party in power. The last line of the voice over of the programme was: “The lesson we can learn from the Thai political unrest is, never let a non pri-bumi rule the country.”

I got a shock to hear this line in the programme. After the video presentation, a lady presenter interviewed a political science academic while receiving phone calls from audience on the political situation in Thailand. A man then called in and said he agreed fully with the statement made by the presenter of the documentary on the Thai unrest, i.e. never let a non pri-bumi rule the country.

My question is, what has “race” or skin colour got to do with the Thai political unrests? Has RTM become a tool of UMNO to impart racial consciousness to the audience, especially the Malay audience?

I have been told that many Malay morning talk shows on RTM and ASTRO channels have been quite racist lately? Is the BN government going to use TV as a channel to destroy ethnic relations in the country?

      what bullshit is this?

in Thailand there is no pribumi non-pribumi distinction so that is not the root cause of their problem. It has more to do with corruption and mismanagement.

the correct message is that “The lesson we can learn from Thai political unrest is, never let the corrupt to rule the country.” Siapa makancili dialah ras a pedas, mate. Maybe the producer called his own station and claim mobile expenses against petty cash.

BN and especially UMNO bank on racial politics. They need to re-invent themselves to be more relevant. I hope the mass in Malaysia can see through all this.

“in Thailand there is no pribumi non-pribumi distinction so that is not the root cause of their problem”

that’s what mr hitler used to say, he claimed he’s german but in reality he’s austrian – at the end he ruined germany (but some said they’re good under hitler)……

Horseshit! Well then, let the Orang Asli rule the country then… None of us really originated from this land if that’s the case.
Otherwise we’re all from this land cause we’re all born in this land and everyone of us are natives.

These BN Umno bums are at it again. RTM (Reporting Trash Malaysia) is just one of Umno tools. How can they compare Thailand and Bolehland. In Bolehland we have Ketuaan Melayu, bumiputras etc…….
In Thailand everyone is the same irrespective whether they are of chinese, indian, european etc….origins. There is never any race issue in Thailand. What a bunch of nutheads with shit inside their brains if any, who are working in RTM.
All these nutheads especially those presenters or “pretenders” are only fit to work in Zimbabwee licking Mugabe b_tts!!.
