Today, 29th August is a long-awaited day for many many Malaysians who love our nation, as we all are called to make a stance to demand clean and fair governance at the Bersih 4 rally at KuLa Lumpur city centre.
When I woke up this morning, I felt acute pain at the back of my waist and could hardly get up from bed. I told myself that I must make it for the Bersih 4 rally, I can’t let backache to stop me from attending the rally. I then went to see doctor at Poliklinik United at Jalan Sepadu, he gave me a jab and some painkillers. I then struggled to go to the LRT station at Bukit Jalil and took a train to KL city centre.
The medicine slowly worked on me and I was able to walk at a normal pace at Petaling street an hour later.
The Home Minister might have thought that by abusing his power to declare wearing yellow Bersih 4 T-shirt is illegal at eleventh hour last night, he could deter people from joining Bersih 4 rally, however, the huge yellow crowd today has proven him wrong.
I altered the “4” on my Bersih 4 t-shirt to “Bersih 2+2”. 2+2 =4. If the police nab me, I can argue it in court. Ha ha……You can say I am “ultra-kiasi”. Ha ha!!
I made two speeches in the truck today on my way towards Dataran Merdeka. At the side of Dataran Merdeka, I saw a huge multiracial crowd gathering there listening to the grand ceramah led by Bersih leaders.
I know many participants today came from all parts of the country. They were from Johor, Perak, Penang, Kedah, Pahang etc at their own costs. I salute all these brave Malaysians who came forward to make a stand to support Bersih’s demand.
Let’s stay on to the count down of Merdeka Day…..
May God give us His protection, covering and strength……
