My picture ripped out from Raya banner

Posted on Monday, 06-10-2008Monday, 06-10-2008 by Teresa Media

A BANNER put up by Kinrara assemblyman Teresa Kok for Hari Raya was found cut up on Sunday morning.

The banner had a picture of her and Puchong MP Gobind Singh. Her picture was cut out but Gobind’s was left intact.

It was put up in Jalan Puchong, near the entrance of Kampung Pasir Baru Puchong.

Vandalised: The banner with Teresa’s picture cut out.

“My friend, who was on his way to the mosque for prayers saw it and informed me. I rushed over to the scene and called Teresa’s assistant Balakrishnan Debarajan immediately,” said Gobind’s political assistant Shamsudin Yusof.

Balakrishnan then made a police report at the Bukit Puchong police station.

Teresa is away in Sarawak on a business trip.

Later, Gobind, at a press conference, condemned the act of vandalism.

“This is disheartening. The act of putting up this banner to wish our Muslim community Selamat Hari Raya is sincere,” he said.

Gobind urged the Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar to take a personal interest and speed up the investigations.

“We don’t want more tension. No matter what your political belief is, there must be tolerance when it comes to celebrations,” he said.

For this festive season, Teresa and Gobind have put up 46 banners and buntings with two different designs in Puchong. So far only one has been vandalised.

“I sincerely hope that this will not happen again,” Gobind said.

    Salam Sejahtera.

Sebenarnya saya ingin meninggalkan mesej untuk ronnie liu sebab saya tak dapat komen melalui blog beliau.

Fokus saya, tingkatkan produktiviti, kurangkan kontrovesi .

Amat malang jika penjawat awam dihukum hanya kerana melaksanakan peruntukan undang-undang. Jika penganut agama Islam sanggup menyewa rumah sementara menunggu kelulusan dan tapak surau, mengapa penganut agama lain perlu keistimewaan.

Mengapa perlu bina rumah ibadat di tanah milik kerajaan sebelum mendapat kelulusan. Apakah ini satu kewajaran atau kebijaksanaan. Cuba kita fikir kenapa tiada rumah ibadat seperti tokong cina dirobohkan. Kerana ia dibina mengikut saluran undang-undang.

These are acts of desperate guys who have been rejected by the rakyat. They stooped so low trying to harass and scare a people representative using dirty tactics.
They are not only sore losers but trying to use race and religion to tarnish a peace loving woman who is helping the rakyat and country to move forward.
These scumbag idiots should be whacked and put under ISA instead.
What actions have been taken by our “great” police force?. Never heard anything about the umpteen reports lodged on that sore loser “pendatang” KT idiot and garbage news UM?

the previous Info Minister, Zainuddin coined the prefect term for this photo

    “BUDAYA SIAPA”?

Vandals, kids throwing tantrum, frankly kurang ajar.

If you want to fight Teresa, fight on civilized terms, i.e. justifiably criticize her performance as a state official and a wakil rakyat, try to convince people who voted her to change their mind, try to be a better politician than Teresa….there are so many right ways to fight, why chose the wrong path?

Does this sort of vandalism can convince people to change their vote preference come next election? think again. you cannot do negative campaigning and get away with it in Selangor. People in this state could be one of the more issue focused voters and to win them over, your own performance is much more important than trying to smear other people’s name. If you could convince people that your opponent is not of good character, it still does not mean you are an angel or better alternative.

As I said before, only losers will do such thing becos they have run out of good ideas how to win the people’s support.

Vandalism, threats, ISA, UTUSAN lies, etc…

I can only hope the majority of Malaysians can now see clearly what sorts of leaders we have in UMNO and do the best thing, throw them away…

As long as you continue to act as a dictatorial undemocratic Chinese chauvanist by refusing a different point of view to yours to be expressed and posted on your blog, people will continue to justifiably rip your flat face out of posters and banners.

You have very little right to ask to be heard or to be treated with fairness and respect when you do not allow others the same rights and privileges you expect to be accorded to you.

You supposedly are in charge of the venom you spill in your dialect on this site to the exclusion of other Malaysians. If you stuck to the common language of others then you can scream your bellicose rhetoric at others who you disagree with.

People like me will continue to challenge the idle and self indulgent prima donna in you that occupies that seat in parliament which you meaninglessly occupy in your hope of becomming the minister of self promotion.

Perhaps you need a face lift in more ways than one. Learn to be accepting of an opposing view and you will make more friends.
