GE 13 Seputeh Parliament Seat Voting Result Analysis

Some Seputeh voters are curious about the voting results of their constituency for the General Elections on 5th May, 2013.I feel duty-bound to inform you why DAP can get highest majority in the country:

1. Increase of voters’ turnout rateVoter’s turnout rate has increased from 75% in 2008 to 83% this year. It is one of the highest turnout rates among the parliamentary seats.

2. Increase of votes for the DAP
Seputeh’s voters who have voted in favor to DAP candidate has increased from 81.14% to 85.58%.

3. Decrease of support for BN/MCA
Support to MCA/BN has dropped from 18.45% in 2008 to 13.84% in GE13.

4. Summary: Out of 71,869 votes in Seputeh, 61,500 votes are meant for DAP, 411 votes for others. This made me/DAP obtain 51,552 majority of votes, the highest majority in the country.

The meaning of 51,552

A teenager, Samuel, who came with his parents to wait for voting results with me shared his views on the meaning of 51,552. According to numeric meaning in Hebrew culture, “5” means grace. He said “51” means “first grace”, “552” means “second double grace”.

He said when I achieved the first highest majority of votes (36,429) in 2008, it was the “first grace of God”, so the voting results now is the “second double grace”.
