Hi, everyone, I have not been able to update my blog for about a week. Haiyah, I have been running around, too busy to do anything that is not “work”.
Now I am back, I am stealing some time to blog and reply emails while waiting for my next appointment.
As I told you earlier, I was interviewed by Red FM on the day when Anwar Ibrahim was charged in court. I have to get up at 6am in order to make it to the studio before 7.30am.
At 6.50am, I received the text message from my PA, Mandy, that FM broadcaster called her to advise me to get out of my house earlier as there were police road blocks in town and they afraid I would be caught in traffic jam and could not make it to the morning live interview.
Thank God that the court has been shifted from Dataran Merdeka area to Jalan Duta and there was no road block along the route. I arrived at FM studio, near GH KL area, at about 7.15am.
When I entered into the studio, both the DJs, Wills and Shaz, were reading newspapers and trying to look for talking points in their programme later. The producer, Audrey Raj, presented to me the questions that they were going to ask me in the show, and we chatted before the interview started.
To my surprise, The Star has sent two photographers to record the live interview. They are: Aaron Raj and Lee Chin Wee. These two guys were forced to get up early in the morning in order to do the filming. Poor, poor guys 🙂
Some listeners have sent in their questions via email to the DJ for me to tackle and while I was on air, the DJs received these emails and phone sms through a computer. I tried to answer some of them but avoided one or two difficult questions.
We all smile relaxingly at camera after the one hour show in the little studio.
In between the interviews were traffic flow report, news update and songs. Time flies, the programme then ended at 8.30am. When I went into the studio, my brain was still tired and feeling sleepy, but when I stepped out of the studio, I felt relaxed and all my tiredness gone.
While I was grumbling that I got to get up early in the morning for the radio live interview, Shaz told me that she has to get up at 4.30am every morning, and the producer Audrey Raj said that her life is soooo busy till she doesn’t even have time to prepare for her wedding this week. Poor baby! :-((
We all are busy in our respective career, but I think a broadcaster’s life is even more taxing than a politician.
