Lodged police report on threatening SMS

Posted on Thursday, 24-12-2009Thursday, 24-12-2009 by -ec-

Yesterday morning, I lodged a police report of criminal defamation to report a threatening SMS which I received from phone number 014-282800 on 22 December 2009.

It began when on 20 December 2009, I received the following SMS from 0142282800:

“Goodevening YB,Here m N.Sevanesan YDP PIBG SJK (T) CASTLEFIELD PUCHONG support 200 bags kempen BACK TO SCHOOL. YB totol 476 student part from that 70 percents students are coming from low erning income family. YB my school is your KAWASAN, YB pls consider. My contact no 0193636056 tq”

Two days later, on 22 December 2009, I received this following SMS, also from 0142282800:

This is far from the truth because I have had many programmes targetted at the low income of all races. I take care of all my constituents based on need and not based on skin colour, and I do not sideline any person or organisation according to their race.

I lodged a police report because “N. Sevanesan / 0142282800”, whoever he/she is, is making serious and false allegations to smear my name, and furthermore threatening me with a public protest based on lies.

It is also very unreasonable for “N. Sevanesan / 0142282800” to make a request on 20 December 2009 and via SMS at that, and expect me to take action on his request immediately. And two days later, threaten me for not acting. That one SMS was the first and only contact I had ever received from “N. Sevanesan / 0142282800.”

In my position, I can receive literally a hundred SMS each day and it simply isn’t possible for me to respond to each and every SMS right away. If I did, I wouldn’t be able to do my job as Selangor State EXCO and MP.

Furthermore, any such request for part of the DUN allocation must be made in writing with proper address and identification and not via SMS from a phone number which could belong to anyone. Then only can I give an official response or have one of my assistants follow up on the it.

For “N. Sevanesan / 0142282800″‘s information, the Selangor State Government has allocated 700 school bags to each DUN for our “Back to School” programme which will be collected by each DUN on Monday 28 December 2009, and duly distributed to students in need.

After lodging my police report, I paid a visit to the school in question, Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Castlefield, Puchong, because they had written to me to request for assistance on the relocation of their school to a larger piece of land nearby as part of their existing padang will be acquired for the LRT extension into Puchong. I am aware of this matter and will follow up on this.

As I there, I also took the opportunity to have a dialogue with the school regarding the threatening SMS which I received from “”N. Sevanesan / 0142282800” and how I regret that it happened. They assured me that the PIBG did not decide or agree to make such threats and the person sending it is acting without consent of the PIBG. I further informed them that my DUN Kinrara office pledge to contribute 200 schoolbags from my DUN allocation to them, which will be presented to them next week.

As for the SMS, I do not take kindly to such threats. I welcome proposals and requests and I aim to serve but these proposals and requests should be made in writing, not by SMS and certainly not with threats.

    this really piss me off.

many people judge BN and PR on different standards. It is ok for BN to have collapsing bridges, white elephants, non-existance welfare system, fouled up education system and do more harm than good healthcare infrastructure and manpower. It is ok for BN to deny deserving and deprived community from pursuing tertiary education as well

for PR, they are dreadful when they did not kow tow to the following
    1) give anyone who “voted” for PR some money in return
    2) “kau tim” the summons they deserved to get anyway
    3) not to go to their house in the middle of the nite and drive them to hospital
    etc

despite the fact that over 90% of tax revenue goes to federal reserve

hello! ADUNs and MPs are not suppose to be charitable organisation and money & favour trees!

if you don’t have money, go look for it yourself. stop harrassing the PAs who don’t earn much as well. In fact, I think they deserve double or triple the pay they are getting

an assistant manager who deals with irate customers, crappy workers and demanding bosses may get RM3K or close to RM4K? People like Teoh Beng Hock who works round the clock, do not have a stable routine and deals with tonnes of attitude, injustice and oppression only get RM1,800

for those who sit down and only blame the sky, the earth and Pakatan except BN and themselves…please get a mirror and a proper reflection

try going to a BN service centre and demand for the same thing in the same mannerism and see what happens…oh, and do it when there is no general or by-election

YB Teresa and her PAs (whom I have the greatest pleasure of knowing) are sticking their necks and a lot more for you unappreciative and ungrateful lot

the easiest thing to do in the world is to sit back and critcisize people for things that you yourself are incapable of doing.
