As the EXCO in charge of investment, industry and trade in Selangor, I have to continously update myself on the state of Malaysia and the world’s economy. So yesterday, I attended Jomo KS‘s economic briefing to Selangor State Government held at SUK (Setiausaha Kerajaan) in Shah Alam.
Jomo, an economist and former professor of Universiti Malaya, is currently based in New York as the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Development in the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA).
Presenting a token of appreciation to Jomo KS on behalf of Selangor. On my left is Anwar Ibrahim, economic advisor to Selangor with a monthly allowance of only 1 ringgit ๐
