In this time of the dreaded economic slow-down, the word “retrenchment” brings fear and a lot of uncertainty to those who have been laid off and lost their jobs. This is a social concern and every effort must be made by the government and the various authorities to solve this ‘social evil’ and lessen the burden and anxiety of the poor workers.
