Dato Seri Nazri Aziz , the Minister of Tourism and Culture is a political maverick. He is one of the few UMNO cabinet ministers who can mingle well with all MPs, regardless BN or opposition.
When I went to campaign in the Kuala Kangsar by-election last month, I was brought by his assistant Tai Zee How to his house. I then realized that half of Kuala Kangsar town is in his constituency of Padang Rengas.
To my surprise, his pets in his house are geese. He rears about 200 geeseat the entrance of his house.
He uses his bungalow house as his service centre, and he will meet his constituents personally at the basement of his house during weekends. Some of his officers will even stay at his house during weekends.
I was amused to see his chair in his “service centre”. The big chair has two bullhorns, at the back of his chair is a big bull head. It just reminded me of the character “bull demon king” ( 牛魔王 ) in the Chinese legend, Journey to the West (西游记).
Well, this happy-go-lucky minister is a joker at times, and sometimes can be bullish in his remarks too. So, this chair fits his cowboy character very well!!
Teresa,
I am going to predict that soon, very soon, the Auditor General will be replaced, or retired, or ‘promoted’ to another position and finally if he is unlucky he might end up in a drum with cement to make sure that he ‘stays the drum’.
Very strange in the last year or so many people who opposite or speak about IMDA something ‘unusual’ will happen to him. Also do you know why the cabinet is so over blown in size for a little country like Malaysia. This is a place to reward all the ‘Umno warriors’ plus to ensure that these warriors will do and act according to one’s wishes and desires.
Finally this shenanigan Mahathir’s daughter just a few days ago remind the people that it is harvesting time from the plants you planted years ago. Is she referring this to the policies her father implemented over the tenure of his 22 years as PM. And it took time for the plants to bear fruits. This is retributions for him !
Hi Teresa,
I don’t get the privilege to meet any Minister nor the PM but you do. Therefore the next time you do please ask the minister you get to meet a simple question. Are they Allah especially what they do and the actions they take cannot be challenged ? Isn’t this what is happening in this country ?
The PM and his Botok filled wife will call Allah each time when they are in questionable situation. Why then is the PM not going to swear in Allah’s name that he is innocence to silent all his critics ? Wouldn’t that be the end of the controversy and then goes on with administering the country. Right now most of his time is coming up with schemes to silent them. At the rates he is doing so very soon there would’t be enough space in prison left for these people.
Finally, just take my words eventually both the PM and his wife will immigrate to a third country when his government is no longer in Putrajaya. One thing for sure he will have to take along with him the AG, the IGP and all his colleagues in the cabinet. The one good place I can think of is Bugis or in Perth to be with more than the 20,000 Malays who too have left Malaysia in recent memories to avoid being arrested for one thing or another for sure.
