KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad vowed in his latest blog posting that he would continue his efforts, by whatever means, to “cleanse” the government of Malaysia.

“I cannot accept Najib (prime minister) who believes that ‘Cash is King’.

“His principles in politics are based on corruption.”

Mahathir, delving into the details in reiterating salient aspects, pointed out that he cannot accept a prime minister who has lowered the dignity of the people and the nation, as evident from the media and TV coverage throughout the world, with clear evidence.

“The institutions of the Swiss and Singapore Governments are a biting indictment on Najib’s mismanagement of 1MDB funds. The payment of billions to a bogus company has resulted in legal action by an Abu Dhabi Government-owned company to claim RM20 billion from 1MDB.”

The former prime minister was commenting on various quarters asking him for his stand in the wake of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) securing comfortable wins in the Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar by-elections on Saturday.

“My stand has not changed.

“If anything, I am more determined than ever on my stand.”

The extraordinary BN wins in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar, charged Mahathir, were due to dishing out money and material goods to voters.

“This was witnessed by many.

“BN was not in the least ashamed by cheating to win the elections. The people too are emulating the leaders and no longer have the dignity that they once had. The dignity of the nation has been destroyed.”

Those who want to know his stand, lamented Mahathir, should in fact ask themselves whether they no longer had any dignity to the extent that they can take pride in winning through cheating, open acts of corruption and rampant abuse of power.

He stressed that he cannot bring himself to support abuse of power, including setting up a sovereign wealth fund, only to end up owing billions.

He referred to the involvement of controversial Penangite Jho Low in managing 1MDB, the transfer of millions in USD to his company, Najib’s admission that he received RM2.6 billion in his personal accounts, his failure to explain from where he obtained the money, the loss of billions by 1MDB, and the transfer of its debts to the government, thereby further burdening it.

Again, reiterated Mahathir, he could not go along with Najib’s abuse of power, in cahoots with the Attorney-General against his critics.

“He has abused the anti-terrorism legislation to arrest and detain critics.

“He later resorted to charges that his critics had sabotaged the economy.”

Mahathir is kept alive, by Allah, to see all the atrocious policies he implemented during his 22 years’ rule as PM of Malaysia come to nothing. This is what you call ‘from dust thou come and to dust thou return’.

This much hated Mahathir must know what he is advocating about for it takes one to know he is talking about. Just remember Allah is keeping him alive just to see all the harm and atrocities he did.
He doesn’t want to accept that he is no longer the PM that people had to accept anything and everything he proposed. Who would dare to oppose his proposals when he was the PM ! He ‘resigned; because he knew his days are over, in fact his tenure as PM was over much earlier if not for the cheating he put in place. He knew he has rung out of these and that was why he ‘resigned’.
