This morning I was invited by a film production company to watch premiere of a local production Chinese movie “平平安安” at one of the theaters at Mid Valley. This is the first time I watched a movie in the morning.
The movie tells the story of a single parent’s kid who is looking for his father. The key actors in the film are from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. I must say it is quite a nice and touching movie. Many of us shed tears at the ending part of the movie.
I was invited to give my comments after the showing of the movie in the theater, and I was interviewed by the film production company too. I told the interviewer and the audience that I am very impressed by this locally produced movie, and will encourage others to watch this movie too.
It is not easy for the locally produced Chinese movie to survive, so we are duty bound to support them because this is the only way to promote local talents in the entertainment field.
