Muslim politicians are cowards, says converts group

Firdaus Wong, Teresa Kok

Have you ever heard of this organisation–Multiracial Reverted Muslims? Today is the first time I came to know of it.

The organisation’s chief Firdaus Wong took exception to my remark that JPJ is not a mosque.

I wonder what is his English standard if he could take exception to my remark .

Anyone who has read my post on the sarong cover up incident would surely know that what I meant was that while it is acceptable for a mosque to ask visitors to comply with strict dress code, JPJ being a government department which provides services to the public should not impose strict dress code .

And if Firdaus understood what I meant, then he is guilty of intentionally distorting what I meant.

His attack on the Muslim politicians makes one feel that he wants to compete with the extreme ISMA for publicity ……hahaha

PETALING JAYA: A Muslim converts association has accused Muslim politicians of cowardice for their failure to stop DAP leaders from making statements that touch on the sensitivity of Muslims.

Firdaus Wong, who leads an organisation called Multiracial Reverted Muslims, said in a Facebook posting yesterday that DAP politicians appeared to be becoming “bolder by the day in showing their true stripes.”

He made the remark as a reaction to Seputeh MP Teresa Kok’s comments regarding the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) dress code.

Kok said yesterday the dress code, which prohibits shorts, sleeveless blouses and skirts that fall short of the knees, was “unacceptable”.

The dress code became an issue following a recent incident in which a JPJ client was given a sarong to wear over her skirt.

Wong took exception to Kok’s remark that “JPJ is not a mosque.”

He said there was no need to associate “decent dressing” only with the surroundings of a mosque because the demand for it was universal.

He suggested that Kok wear a short skirt to Parliament and say “Parliament is not a mosque” if she happened to be barred from entering the building.
