At the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra night hosted by Rimbunan Hijau Group last night, I met two former MCA stalwarts, namely Tan Sri Chan Kong Choy and Datuk Fu Ah Kiow.
Both of them are residents/probably voters in my Seputeh constituency. They both have retired from active politics.
As usual, Chan Kong Choy who stays in Taman Desa complained that he hardly sees me in my constituency. I told him that last week, I had evening walk twice at the Taman Desa field, in front of his house. He hardly sees me because he is hardly in Malaysia.
I took photo with both of them, Tan Kok Wai (DAP Acting National Chairman) and his wife, and told them that I will upload the photo in my facebook.
Chan and Fu are the smart senior politicians who won’t simply make stupid remarks like “Malays pay more GST” etc…….
I must say both of them were rather approachable and friendly even when they were holding the position as cabinet minister or deputy minister, unlike the present MCA leaders who are quite arrogant to the opposition bench.
Chan and Fu looked relaxed yesterday. I believe this is because they no longer need to be the apologists for the government which they have no say in its policies and which is going down the drain ……..
