I attended the performance of Russian Philharmonic Orchestra hosted by Rimbunan Hijau Group at Dewan Merdeka, PWTC, last night.
I must say it was an excellent performance. The musicians, ballet dancers and the soprano singer blended well together.
While enjoying the melody of the great musical pieces, I observed the sound of each musical instrument and the players. The main melody of the great pieces might come from players of violins or clarinet, but without the players of drums, cellos and percussion instruments, the outcome of the philharmonic orchestra performance would not be that perfect.
It reminds me of many nameless and unsung heroes behind many frontline players in different fields in the society, including transformation of a society. Everyone is important, no matter how small the role of a person seems to be. Without all these “small roles players”, great piece and masterpiece won’t emerge.
