There is an article in today’s Sin Chew Daily (6 Feb 2012) where Dong Jiao Zong (United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia) is offering to arrange a meeting with MCA’s Wee Ka Siong (Deputy Education Minister), SJKC Yak Chee, Catholic High School (PJ) and myself as we have been perpetually involved in the discussions on Selangor state government land for Chinese schools. I have passed them all the relevant documents on the issue especially the approval decision and letter of request by the state to allocate the land for these schools and the ministry’s rejection letter to build the schools. However, Wee has been quoted in the paper as saying he is not keen to participate in this meeting. Why so? As I stated in my twitter – if he is telling the truth about his claims against Selangor government’s role in this school saga – why is he afraid to meet with me and the relevant parties in the presence of moderators and those involved in the education field? Why is Wee so afraid of such an arrangement?? Isn’t this the best arrangement for the truth to be revealed and the facts to be clarified?
