Today, after my press conference at Taman Wawasan, Puchong, I received a call from my assistant Emily that there was a billboard erected in front of my Seputeh office and I was the lead cast.
The billboard shows me (a sexy woman in red) hugging Mr Kinrara after dumping my old lover Mr Seputeh. with a message “Once and for all, we will never abandon you, please vote BN.”
My members and I had a press conference and protested in front of the billboard.
Another billboard at 5th mile, Old Klang Road. It shows me leaving Mr Kinrara rocketing towards Mr. Seputeh.
I feel utterly disgusted with this defamation. It insinuates that I am a “loose” woman, where I would abandon my “old lover” (Mr Seputeh) and fall into the arms of another man (Mr Kinrara).
When I was told by reporters that Carol Chew was the one who launched the cartoon billboard yesterday, I was extremely shocked. I thought, What???!! Does she know what she is doing?
MCA Wanita always claimed they uphold women’s rights and dignity. As Carol Chew was Ng Yan Yan’s PA for so many years, hasn’t she learnt anything about defending the rights and dignity of women? Or is she prepared to throw that all away to play dirty politics by indugling in such disgusting tactics of defamatory attack?
I have been refraining from criticising Carol Chew from day one because I believe in a “gentlewoman’s” fight. But, after seeing these disgusting cartoons, I think it is time I put my foot down and say that all gloves are off.

（吉隆坡2日訊）士布爹國席女將之戰掀起高潮！馬華高掛“貪新忘舊”競選廣告牌，諷刺對手行動黨郭素沁兼攻國州議席，遭郭素沁和支持者指責具有侮辱性。
有關廣告牌以漫畫手法呈獻，女主角以郭素沁人像為藍本，標題打著“貪新忘舊”，內容則是貌似郭素沁女子依靠在“金鑾區先生”（暗喻金鑾州席）身上，“士布爹先生”（暗喻士布爹國席）而在一旁失落不已。
行動黨士布爹國席候選人郭素沁在逾20名居民陪同下，召開記者會，指這廣告牌內容影射她是“朝三暮四”的女人，具侮辱性，她不只接獲女居民投訴，連男居民也不滿。
她指出，她昨午，被告知國陣在華聯花園置放新競選廣告牌，且在牌上印上她的照片。
她說，在她前往巡視后，有關方面已將廣告牌拆下，更換目前以漫畫人像為主的廣告牌。
她說，有關廣告牌內容不當，且具影射成分，使到許多男性選民在看見后，紛紛致電向她投訴。
“對方非常過分，形容我是貪新忘舊的人，就好像我是名朝三暮四的女人，充滿侮辱成分。”
她說，有關廣告牌令人感到對女性歧視，她雖兼攻國州議席，惟大馬仍然有許多男人都有相同情況，有關政黨為何只攻擊女性候選人？
她說，馬華士布爹候選人身為馬華婦女組主席拿督黃燕燕政治秘書，也是一名女性，但卻仍有黨員置放相關廣告牌，甚至為廣告牌進行推展禮，令她感到非常遺憾。
捍衛女性尊嚴
士布爹馬華在郭素沁服務中心前斜對面路旁，置放被指具有侮辱成分的競選廣告牌，引起當地民眾激烈反彈。
“馬華婦女組以捍衛女性尊嚴為宗旨，但是該黨黨員卻以此攻擊女性尊嚴，我希望黃燕燕可以親自前來一趟，以評斷有關廣告牌是否符合該組織的宗旨。”
她說，她也會就此事向選舉委員會投訴，要求徹查有關廣告牌是否有牴觸選舉條令。
郭素沁感遺憾
行動黨士布爹國席候選人郭素沁指出，她原本要與馬華候選人周紫琳來一場君子之戰，惟對方竟然使出“侮辱女性”手段，讓她遺憾與憤怒。
她說，廣告牌中的內容，破壞她的名聲，影響選民對她的印象。
“即使有關廣告牌可能不是出自周氏手中，但她既然前往為廣告牌開幕，意即她也認同有關廣告牌。”
她說，對方甚至沒有風度，將其中一個廣告牌置放在其服務中心前斜對面的路旁，即代表要讓她也可以一同“欣賞”。
她說，據她所知，對方也有在士布爹內其他地區置放相同的廣告牌，包括3個在華聯花園、3個在帝沙花園、1個在舊巴生路及3個在舊古仔路花園。
她說，她在士布爹區3次上陣，都面對“有問題”的馬華候選人，包括1999年蔡崇繼提出的“站蹲論”及2004年陳元虎提出的“老姑婆”，雖然后者最后有澄清，惟也已引起選民的不滿。
她說，她原以為馬華這次派出女候選人，情況應該會有所改變，孰料后者竟然推出侮辱女性廣告牌。
僅針對郭素沁兼攻國州
周紫琳：沒污辱女性
馬華士布爹國會議席候選人周紫琳不認為，“郭素沁貪新忘舊”漫畫式競選廣告污辱女性，並強調，出發點是針對郭素沁，非針對女性。
她說，上述廣告純粹是要帶出，反對黨候選人同時競選國州議席，無法為選民提供良好服務的信息。
“廣告的出發點並非針對女性，主要是針對郭素沁個人。”
當詢及“郭素沁貪新忘舊”廣告給人的第一個印象是，行動黨士布爹國會議席候選人郭素沁是個對愛情不忠、貪新忘舊的人，周紫琳並不認同，她向《中國報》指出，那只是他人看法，並重申，該廣告沒有污辱女性成分。
她披露，馬華助選人員昨日在士布爹數個地區掛上有關廣告后，至今並沒有接獲任何投訴。
“有關廣告將續張掛至投票日，在大選后才拆除。”
當記者提及，郭素沁指上述廣告違反競選條規，並會向選舉委員會投訴，她指出，競選行動室不會在現有階段拆除上廣告，除非得到選舉委員會指示，指違反競選條規才拆下。
“既然反對黨可以張掛指責馬華貪污的廣告，為何我們不能？”
詢及有消息指，她共準備約30幅類似漫畫廣告牌，是否會陸續登場，她否認有關消息，並指出只有這一款式廣告。
她說，如果對手是男性候選人，她也會採用同樣概念的廣告，這與候選人性別無關，因候選人同時競選國州議席不被鼓勵。
陳財和：詮釋因人而異
馬華聯邦直轄區州聯委會主席拿督陳財和指出，大選期間出現的漫畫式競選廣告是否含有諷刺意味，因人而異做出不同的詮釋。
他是在受詢及，馬華士布爹候選人涉及張掛“郭素沁貪新忘舊”漫畫式競選廣告，被指污辱女性時，如是披露。
“既然反對黨將向選舉委員會投訴，就讓選舉委員會定奪是否違反競選條規。選舉委員會附有監督小組，而監督小組皆有國陣及反對黨的成員在內，由有關方面全權處理此事。”
詢及馬華是否會召見各選區候選人，交代他們不對敵對候選人做出人身攻擊，他只說道，會交代候選人在進行競選工作時加備謹慎。
錯誤拉票方式

我認為有關廣告牌具有侮辱女性成分，如果對方可以如此攻擊郭素沁，那我是否也可以構畫對方人像，讓她身穿比基尼站立在廣告牌上？
我認為，對方明顯是做錯了，即使要宣傳拉票，也不應該以這種手段及方式，對女性造成侮辱。
選舉委員會應該採取行動對付相關人士，公平對待所有候選人。
無法苟同做法

廖中萊：廣告牌若辱女性將拆下‧馬華遵從民意
(雪蘭莪‧蒲種）馬青總團長拿督廖中萊表示，若有人認為士布爹國會議席候選人周紫琳的宣傳廣告牌有“侮辱女性”的意思，馬華將指示助選團即刻拿下此廣告牌，而事情也告一段落。
他是針對“新歡舊愛”宣傳廣告牌一事表示，馬華黨內也有女候選人，黨內領袖不會對任何人做出人身攻擊。然而，馬華迄今仍未接獲任何投訴，惟相信中央領袖已做出決定。
他指出，候選人在競選期間是都是謹言慎行，也會尊重選民的意思和看法。若有人認為有侮辱女性的成份，馬華會遵從民意馬上拿下此廣告牌。
與高祥威無關連
“若行動黨要玩課題，馬青可在大選後繼續與反對黨在各課題上繼續辯論。此事件與金鑾州議席候選人高祥威沒有任何關連。“
他說，高祥威是個踏實的領袖，目前最重要的是讓這個秉持人民代議士的精神、誠意和能力在區內帶來發展。”
他是在今日（週一，3日）為馬華金鑾州議席候選人高祥威助陣活動，這樣表示。
沒傷害任何人意思
詢及此事件是否對金鑾州選區造成負面的影響，廖中萊表示，此廣告牌沒有傷害任何人的意思。
“反對黨候選人‘一腳踏兩船’，根本無法兼顧和有效為民服務，就讓選民去決定。”
他說，“新歡舊愛”漫畫不會對士布爹候選人周紫琳造成影響，因為周紫琳也是女性，相信她沒有傷害任何人的意思。
“馬華候選人在競選期間積極結和落力拜票，相信選民會諒解。”

I have just posted the same message in Jeff’s Blog, and I hope you guyz can help if you know anything…; I am from Kedah, and SPR has registered my name on my behalf as voter, I m not knowing this until I check online; anyhow, I was allocated to an area where only PAS and BN are contesting all these while; I tried to change to PJ area when I know about it, but they said I have to change my the address in my IC, due to the trouble, I didn’t change; My question is that, is there any other way to change the voting location apart from changing I.C? kindly assist. thanks in advance! Contesting in both parliament and DUN seat is like a single mom having to earn money to support the family and at the same time take care of the children. I don’t think we should discrminate them. Instead, we should give them our full support because this is not an easy job! Teresa, when you see Carol the next time, ask her this question and see what she says.
The reason for putting up such stupid/sexist ad is simply because they have nothing to criticize you.
Carol is no different from its predecessor (the PHD that contested in the 1999 election)who has absolutely no respect for women.
I think the whole MCA is full of people like her. Just to name you a few:
1) that “PHD”
2) the former Health Minister who cheated on the wife
3) and etc…….
I was so disappointed with almost every comments that BN party made example: re-inventing(what to re-invent), “Hanya satu pilihan” etc… they thought that we as the thinker group in 21st century do not know how to analyse and process what they mentioned… Not to mentioned the advertisement on the stars newspaper… make me sick.
BTW, the moment i saw this poster @ the junction of Kuchai Lama, my reaction was how could i vote for the BN candidate which i have doubt on his/her ability to represent us as the voter and handle our issue in Parlimentary if he/she got selected. This act is really childish and its a kind of personally attack… Is there any politician training school in Malaysia. some of the politician needs some training and help :-p

i agree with lkw, MCA in 1990 had thru that “PHD” proven that their men do not respect women, now MCA is proving thru their Carol that their women also do not respect women. Worst still, lies after lies to the nation, and in between threats after threats to gain votes ! We need opposition parties’ voice, over 2 / 3 of them, so that Malaysia still have future, otherwise, hmm……we all know where we will be pak “lah” “lah” “lah” !
Those dirty tactics deployed by Carol Chew is really uncalled for and really shameful to the MCA for having such a low moral and ethics. I strongly condemned the tactics deployed by the MCA side to garner more VOTE. As a father of 3 kids and I do not believe this is right way to a society to act in such an irresponsible manner to campaign. I have been voting for ruling party all the while and I am pretty sure BN will not get a single VOTE from my family. Although, I my constituency is in Serdang for Parliament and Balakong for ADUN, I will definitely vote for opposition (DAP).
Just look at the outpouring of anger with the BN candidates for their tactics!
I think that they are so smart they will defeat themselves!
The opposition parties have plenty of ammunition to use against the ruling party, including the recent changing of laws by the EC. Just throw the book at them! The posters are an added bonus. Keep whacking them with their misdeeds and repeat them for effect.
The upper hierarchy has conceded recently that it would be difficult for them to gain 2/3 majority this time; I would say that it would be tough for them even to have a simple majority!
The time to demolish them has never been better!

I think someone should remove doggone’s comments from this blog. Just because someone acts in an undignified way doesn’t excuse any of us from making such comments. Otherwise we’d lose the moral high ground.

I am also very sickened to see such despicable banners by MCA. It’s very unfair, but it also shows that that bitch Carol has run out of ideas. You fight the good fight & you fight for the common people. I am sure we all appreciate you very much. So stay strong, stay the course & give this young MCA dog the lesson of her life! PS. We all prefer the red-hot lady rather that the chubby fat bitch from MCA.
Once again, I like to counsel that people here temper their comments and not make statements calling the other candidate a bitch. It isn’t right if they do it to Teresa, and it isn’t right if we do it to them.
Also, I will strongly advise against people calling that number and harassing her. Everyone, no matter how much we disagree with their personality or politics, have the right to some basic dignity. If you truly love the Party and you support the candidate, you will not do anything that will reflect badly on them. The last thing right thinking person would want is for there to be a huge hoo ha because someone had phoned Chew up and made threatening remarks.
